When should I get started?
For top results, you should begin emailing your web page and contacting your supporters 12-14 weeks prior to your event. But you can begin at anytime. So start now!
How do I sign up?
Choose your cause and click “Become a Fundraiser" or "Create a team” to get started. You’ll be guided through the process of how to sign up as an individual or start your team. Once you’ve signed up, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to your new page. If you have not registered for the event yet, register today.
How do friends and family make a donation?
Friends and family can donate directly to your fundraising page by selecting the “Make a Contribution” box, and selecting their desired donation amount.
Is a portion of the registration fee a donation?
No. Your registration fee does not apply towards your fundraising goal of $500 or more.
How do I find a participant's personal fundraising webpage?
Click on the charity for which the participant is registered and select the drop down menu at the top of the campaign page. You can search for individual fundraisers and/or team fundraisers.
I forgot my username and password. How can I find out what they are?
After you register, you will receive an email with your username and password. If you cannot locate that email, simply email us or call us at 858.964.3952.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. All donations are tax-deductible.
Will my supporters get a charitable receipt?
Yes. If your supporter made a donation online through your web page, your supporter will receive a tax-deductible receipt via email. If a gift is given by check, you will need to contact your charity directly if you would like your supporter to receive a receipt.
How do I form a team?
Click "Create a team" once you choose your cause. You’ll be guided through the process of how to create your team. Once you’ve signed up, you can email potential team members to let them know to can sign up directly onto your team page.
How do I join a team?
To join a team, simply visit the charity campaign page and select the team for which you would like to join from the drop down menu in the top header. Once you select your desired team, the team page will appear. Simply click “join this team” and follow the steps to create your personal page within that team.
Do I have to raise $500 to participate? What happens if I don't?
If you reach the fundraising goal of $500 on your fundraising web page by the time of the event, you will receive your official prizes during the EXPO. If you haven’t reached this goal by the time of the event, you can make a self-donation (a donation to your own fundraising account) for the difference or you opt out of receiving the training tee and the cap, although you will still receive the red charity laces if you raised at least $5. Every donation and fundraising support is essential to the program. We value you as an official supporter and thank you in advance for all of your amazing support.
Where do I pick up my red charity laces and prizes?
You can pick up your red laces and fundraiser prizes at the charity booth at the Health & Fitness EXPO. We will be in contact with you prior to race weekend to get your appropriate training shirt size. If you are not able to attend the EXPO, please email charityconnect@active.com, so we can mail your prizes to you prior to race day.

What if someone wants to donate by check?
If your supporters would like to donate via check, please make checks out to the charity you are supporting and mail all donation checks directly to that organization. Please note: the online donations you collect through your website will apply to your fundraising goal in order for you to receive your prize. Any offline donation made is greatly appreciated but will not apply to your fundraising online goal amount.
